A comic book enthusiast who is still living in the Bronze and Copper Ages of Marvel and not willing to budge, Wally serves as an editor helping numerous small press publishing imprints. He maintains this blog - with the help of some AMAZING writers - where he writes about comics, primarily the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper Age. He is tremendously grateful to have a team of talented volunteer bloggers who are willing to share their time, energy and written content here.
For a brief time, Wally was a volunteer reviewer at a small, start-up comic review site, where he wrote occasional weekend features, reviews and news. He also maintains the unofficial "Ka-Zar the Savage Fan Page" on Facebook. He's currently serving as project editor on the first "Ka-Zar" fanzine, a printed fan-based publication promoting Marvel's Silver Age jungle lord.
Blogging and reading graphic novels are his relaxing pastimes and hobbies. Wally spends the bulk of his day celebrating his biggest blessing and life vocation - working as a consecrated religious in the Roman Catholic Church.
Joeseph Simon is a one-man cultural movement! His writing has been published by Caliber Press, and a variety of other comic-related material has seen print with even more forthcoming. He's also managed the retail end of the periodicals industry, having run a comic shop, owned two pop culture stores and assisted on a Capital City Comics distribution route.
Well known in the pop-culture and music scene in his hometown of Cleveland, OH, Joeseph organized a successful Anime Night Out featuring cosplay with anime on the big screen, video game contests, anime music on the dance floor and more. He's very inspired by the South American artists that helped create the later Conan images and also by Barry Windsor Smith and John Buscema. To this day, he's amazed at how long Roy Thomas was with the Conan properties and ranks him up there with the prose writers who continued Conan's adventures, if not above them.
Outside of comics, Joeseph works for A to Z Audio Services, Inc. creating CD, DVD and cassette packaging for local and international talents, from those just starting in the music business to Grammy award-winning artists. His art was featured at a special show in York, England. He enjoys creating soundtracks of the mind, and his music goes under the name Lure of the Unknown.
His work has been featured in a compilation in Hungary (on floppy diskette, of all things!) released by Silber Media. He's a guest on a forthcoming release of Cleopatra Records by Mike Textbeak.
Joeseph has had the privilege of interviewing famous musicians like Marilyn Manson, the Boredoms, Ed Hall, Chu Ishikawa and many others. Joeseph always has something new going on or exploring a new facet of creativity, so as soon as this bio is published, it'll likely be outdated!
